I had the privilege of photographing my friends Josie & Jon’s wedding last month and we had an amazing day despite all the rain and cold on June 27th. No one ever hopes for rain on their wedding day, but I do truly love umbrella shots – I find them incredibly romantic. We started the day off at Arid Blow Dry Bar in Birmingham, moved to Jon’s parent’s house for the ceremony in West Bloomfield and then a beautiful reception in Royal Oak at the Farmer’s Market. There was champagne and love flowing all day! I have to admit when Josie’s dad got choked up walking her down the aisle, I was shooting through my own tears. I’ve known Josie since her beginning days of high school and I’m just so happy for these two – they are truly a beautiful couple inside and out who compliment each other perfectly. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Casalou!! xoxo, daphne
